The days where laptops are exclusively expensive machines are over. This $379 Acer Aspire One is a great package - 8GB solid state drive, 512MB RAM, wireless, 3 USB ports, flash memory readers, and even XP pre-installed if you don't like the Linux package they are trying to promote. I can imagine liking this a lot - overall dimensions are 9.8"x6.7"x1.14". That's even smaller than the $3000 Vaio TZ I was admiring at the Sony Store. For me, smaller is better lately as far as laptops go. I have become quite fond of our 12" Powerbook G4.

Microsoft is bringing in Jerry Seinfeld to spice up their advertising response to Apple's attacks on PCs. Some analysts are skeptical, though - "I find it ironic that in order to 'out hip' Apple, Microsoft is hiring a comedian whose prime was a decade ago. They may as well have Phil Collins do the background music while they're at it." - Andrew Kretzer, director of sales and marketing at Bold Data Technology.

Picture - Something is missing on this car.
Picture - Cars stage for the AWD heat. I mean the Subaru heat. Actually there is an AWD DSM next to the STi in the very back. It's actually good competition - the two NA Imprezas had snow tires, but the STi was pretty much guaranteed FTD with the rally tires.
Picture - Grinner brought the Magnum out. It's not even AWD!
Picture - The big wheels just added more character to the adventure.
Picture - My winter wheels still had salt on them from last winter. Today that was replaced with dirt.
Picture - For heat 3, we run the AWD cars again. Or is it the hood scoop heat?
