Good For: Proper American four-door sedan. It's rear wheel drive, has decent interior room, decent power, and all starting at a reasonable price. I suppose it takes Italian ownership to sustain such a tradition.
Compromises: The base SE I drove had a good set of standard equipment. If you like toys in your cars, however, options can pile on to the $26,995 base price very quickly. All wheel drive is only at the SXT level, and will already be at $32k.
Overall reaction - Thumb up to Mopar for continuing to fuel the American rear-wheel drive sedan. Last month a halo Hellcat variation was announced, featuring a 707hp supercharged V8 capable of 204 mph. The Charger is so good the Italians were able to make a supercar out of it.
