Woah, we got quite a thunderstorm today, it's been a while since we've gotten one. Wow, very fun to drive in too! But I have a suspicion water has gotten into my brake lines, cause my brakes are constantly unbalanced and sticking. Owell.

Well, I had a little free time in Clayton, so I dropped by Borders, and found the 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX Turbo on the front cover of Sport Compact Car. So I bought it. They have lots of good things to say about it:
"Does the WRX have any competition? The answer, right now, is absolutely not. Why not? Because no other car in this segment has this much power and torque (227 hp at 6000 rpm, 217 lb-ft at 4000 rpm), no other car in this segment has all-wheel drive and no other car in this segment has won the World Rally Championship."
"It was the first-generation WRX's point-to-point, over-the-road skills that made it famous for covering any terrain at insane speeds and the new car is probably even better. It's these talents that make us fall in love at Sport Compact Car and the kind of performance that's been overdue in this market for years. "
"Getting the right engine is only the beginning. Now that the WRX is here, the aftermarket will no doubt have a heyday. After all, it's far easier to find hidden horsepower in a turbo engine than it is in an engine relying on the atmosphere to fill its manifold. We've been impressed with the enthusiasm of the Subaru aftermarket on the 2.5 RS, but the introduction of the WRX could push Subaru into the world of Honda aftermarket popularity."

I went to see our school's Spring Musical, Guys and Dolls tonight. Wow. I haven't see any of our school's musicals before, but I knew what to expect, an excellent production demonstrating hours and hours of time and effort. Amazing. The actual play was kinda cute, I guess, but it was very very well performed. Singing, acting, technical, pit orchestra. It was such an enjoyment to watch, really. I happened to get a couple tickets off of Ms. Jones (thank you soooo much!) and so we got 2nd row seats right by the pit orchestra in the aisle. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Right by the strings too. But yes, totally awesome.

My parents bought Futon couches for the living room today. They seem pretty cool, one of those things that are designed to last forever, very high quality.
Doh, I got in trouble for trying to put some of the files of this website on the Ladue web server, so everything will have to reside here temporarily. I can't wait to have a permanent feed to my dorm room in college.

Went to Natalie-Angel's house tonight for dinner, but got stuck in ridiculous traffic on the way. There were 8 cops blocking the ramp onto I270 from Manchester, which is totally ridiculous. Don't they have better ways to block ramps? And then they blocked off all of I64 too, so I had to essentially take all secondary roads. Ouch. Quite a mess, apparantly the President is coming to town. I'd like to calculate exactly how much it costs us all when the President comes into town. Owell, dinner was very good, despite my lateness. We had Angel-hair spaghetti.

Wow, this is an excellent website, www.fasdriving.co.uk It shows a lot of techniques for more enjoyable and safe fast driving, some of which I've discovered through experience (some a little on the scary side). But it is a U.K. site, so place it in context with your country.

Natalie-Angel had a birthday party tonight, it was tons of fun. I found it funny how half of buddy list on AOL IM was there in one room at the same time, lol. We gathered at The Sports Page, a restaurant that her uncle owns, and there was air hockey and pool and all that sort of good stuff. I kinda refreshened my air hockey skills a little, and it's a good thing I didn't play very long, cause I got a blister on my ring finger and my thumb went numb after a few straight games of winning in a row. Then we all drove to her house, and there was this cop on Olive, he was really pullover-happy. All day I've been driving up and down Olive to church, and I've seen 6 people get pulled over by the same cop there, and one of them was Susan I., with 4 other people in the car. Gosh, that must have been scary, first time getting pulled over by an intimidating cop like that, with all those people in the car. Course, she only got a warning for tailgating, so it wasn't anything serious, but I'm sure is scary. I gave Andrea a pair of Audiovox FRS radios for her birthday, for a complete set of 4-way Angel-Charlie communication. We had enough strolling people there that we also gave Andrea a strolling treat. We somehow managed to sneak our instruments into her house and gave her little birthday show. That was really fun, though the ceiling was super-low, so my bow kept hitting the ceiling. But anyways, totally awesome party, I had tons of fun.
