After the shows, we had a little time to ride the Wildfire roller coaster. It was an awesome ride, with the 5 inversions and 155 foot first drop as promised, but not the 2:16 as I read about... which was dissapointing. I timed it, and it was more like 1:20. We also went on this other roller coaster that was also a water ride, which was really cool, I'd never seen anything like it. So that was fun.
Then in the late afternoon, we played at the dock for the Branson Belle, entertaining anyone that might be getting off and on the boat while it was docked. That was definitely a fun one! Afterwards, we boarded the Belle ourselves for dinner and a show. The show was pretty good, the most impressive being the couple of Russian dancers. Wow, it was amazing.

Then I viewed the movie The Fast and the Furious with Amie. The racing scenes were pretty nice, though a little too much drag racing for my tastes. And it was also short. Owell, it's great to see a movie about cars, anyhow. The Toyota Supra was definitely nice.
Then I went to my violin lesson and strolling rehearsal, to complete my Tuesday.

Mom came in today via Los Angeles at 23:00, so we went to pick her up. Her friend sent a really really nice CD player with her to give to me. It's a Panasonic SL-CT780, but the Taiwan variation is nicer than the American, even, it has nice in-ear headphones and a red-backlit tiny remote... I love it! It's sooo slim, has Optical-Output, and Nickel-Metal rechargable batteries. But you can use AA along with them too, for a total of 85 hours of play-back time. Wow. But now I'm afraid of losing it or breaking it or something... I think I will use it sparingly. I'll keep my old Panasonic in my car, and use the new one on bus rides or something.

So I've been wondering so far... when is my radar detector going to actually detect a cop? So far, I haven't met any cops, and neither have I had any false alarms. But this morning, I got my first one! I was driving down MO340, going east, and my detector started going crazy on the Ka band near Hi-Fi-Fo-Fum. And the cop, I eventually found, was sitting in front of Monsanto! That is awesome range! That's like, half a mile. Wow. The best thing about this so far is, no false alarms. That's what a radar detector should be, cause those false alarms get really annoying. I also ignore the X-band mostly, cause nobody uses that anymore... it just picks up automatic doors and microwaves these days... but memorizing where they usually are is a good thing, eventually, just in case.
