We had an early rehearsal today for the St. Louis Youth Symphony, and a client canceled this afternoon so I actually had a little unexpected extra time this afternoon of what was originally a packed day. The temperature today was definitely right for ice cream, I was almost going to turn on the A/C in my car, it's been so warm lately. So Kevin and I got ice cream at Maggie Moos late in the afternoon. Then, we played a relatively boring cocktail stroll at the Westwood Country Club. It's been a while since we've done those, I guess it's really cool that lately we haven't had to, cause dinner strolls are a lot more interesting. After the stroll some of us attempted to go to Coco's, but amazing it was closed, so we defaulted to California Pizza Kitchen. Their Peking Duck pizza is totally yummy.

We had a Stroll tonight at the St. Louis Club. They've redone a lot of that room since there was a fire a few months back. We definitely got shafted into the corner of that room, and it caused more problems than ever. Since we were on the 16th floor, and by the window, all our wireless microphone receivers became optimal receivers for all radio signals west of the Mississippi, making the range of our wireless mics next to nothing. That basically gave us no choice but to not even get to play for half of the room, since we were too far away from each other to have any sort of visual or audible contact. Owell, the people near us really seemed to enjoy it a lot, so that's good. After the stroll we ordered Chinese and hung out at Eric's house.

Uh-oh, really long lab for CS101 due tomorrow, have had 2 weeks to do it, but I started it tonight near midnight. I get to code all night! I've always loved doing that. Uh-oh watched Office Space to procrastinate, and now it looks hopeless to finish it overnight. I think I'll go to bed.

Argh, so this used tyre that my mechanic put on my car is leaking! Took it in today, they found it was the valve cord. Pretty simple repair, so that's all good. Now finally I might have stable tyre pressures in my car...

The Wash U Symphony had another concert this afternoon. We played an early Serenade by Samuel Barber, Hanson's Symphony No. 2, "Romantic", and accompanied the 2 winners of the first annual Wash U Young Artist Piano Concerto Competition. They each played a movement of the Saint-Saens Piano Concerto No. 2. It was interesting getting the orchestra and the grand piano onto the extended stage in Graham Chapel, but we managed.
