I went over to Spencer's house today, and we basically played Gran Turismo on his Playstation all day. Subaru WRX. It's a totally awesome game. I gotta get a decent emulator to work on my PC.

Wow, adcritic.com has tons of commercials. The one with Bill Clinton is pretty hilarious.

We had a stroll @ Bellrive Country Club today. Wow, the speed limit on 1/1 Ladue Road is 45 mph there, and there is this huge hill. I hit the clutch and coasted to about 60 mph, and then I decided to hit the brakes. Mason Road is very fun north of Ladue Road, I kinda accidentaly turned in there, and had fun with the 15 mph bends.


Thursday, 18th of May, 2000

The 11th grade annual little awards thingy was tonight. They presented me that Rensselaer Medal, which includes a $40000 scholarship. There were also little other things like All-School Activity and Service Award for Video Production Club, American Mathematics Competition, TEAMS Engineering Contest; Academic Excellence in AP US Government and Politics, Physics, AP Computer Science, Orchestra; service award for the Fine Arts Department; and the Honor Roll.

My parents got me a birthday gift, a stylus-pencil-pen hybrid. It's the Autopoint Stylus+. They said the wanted to get me a PDA, but had no idea what I liked, so just got me a pen for one instead. Ought to go out and buy a PalmPilot now.


Wednesday, 17th of May, 2000

I redid the front pages of the LHWHS website so they make a little more sense, and meet some "district standards".

Woah, I got my Missouri Income Tax refund today, $32. Cool! I also got a checking account, it's pretty cool, free, no minimum balance, no fees, just free checks, and free ATM. But I threw most of my money into a Certificate of Deposit anyways, the return rate is a whopping 7% right now.


Tuesday, 16th of May, 2000

Woah, there is an entirely awesome editorial on copyrights of media on the internet. I put it up on the Computer Articles page.

Woah, CD rates are up to 7%. That's insane, time to put all my money into CD. Interesting - Firstar has this thing, you buy CDs in either 7, 17, or 27 month terms. Those are some weird time intervals. Free checking policy has gotten more lenient, it's $100 minimum balance now.

On the other hand, gas prices are @ an all time high. $1.49 for a gallon @ the cheapest. Owell, I can live with that, been spoiled all last year with $.69 a gallon.


Monday, 15th of May, 2000

The AP US Government and Politics test was today. It went pretty well, I'm feel very good about the multiple-choice portion, and it relatively wasn't bad.

Wait a minute, Britney Spears' new CD comes out on the 16th, yet I have had it for almost a week now... I downloaded it. Must be some bootleg version.
