Well, I finally got around to watching The Matrix. Very interesting movie, I don't have much else to say. It's one of those that I'll have to watch a few more times just cause it's so deep.

Doh, the starter on the Cavalier fell off. Like, today, it kept crunching when I tried to start it. Then, it finally just came loose altogether. To drive it home, I had to hold the starter in place while someone started it for me. Argh.

So I bought my brother a video of Toy Story 2 for Christmas. He couldn't figure out what it was, and couldn't wait to find out, so he opened it early. So we watched that movie tonight. Man, it's such a great movie. The preview for Monsters Inc. is also on there... it should be coming out some time next year. It looks good, I want to see it!
Oh my goodness, I saw the funniest thing today! Ok, this guy blazed through the school parking lot in a Lincoln Navigator, obviously late, and chose to park on a 2-foot high mound of snow in the parking lot. He got halfway up, and then got stuck. Totally stuck, his tyres sank deep in, and he was unable to move anywhere. I looked. Rear Wheel Drive. Who would spend $44000 on an SUV, and not get 4x4? :sigh:

My RemoteAccess MemoryAccess Springboard module came in today! It's awesome, the vibrator is very strong, and the LED is nice. The 2MB of Flash Memory access is not as fast as I had thought. In fact, it's really fast in downloading, but slow uploading. I think that's the nature of Flash RAM. It came with SubHunt LV (force feedback) and that is pretty awesome.
Argh, same news from Harvard University... deferred.

Well, received a letter from Brown University. It's one of those really positive rejection letters, it's kinda amusing. So the news is, I'm deferred into the regular applicant pool (I applied to a non-binding early-action.) So... guess that's not a school I can really count on, but that's ok.
But I did find out for sure about All-State Orchestra today. I'm a first violin this year. I took a look a little at West Side Story, and man, it's actually really hard. Accidentals all over the place, though 1st violin part is all melody, so it should be very fun.

Wow, 17:00 in the middle of heavy snow is interesting... some people got hurt. Like, I saw 4 ambulances turn into Dielmann from MO340. Sheesh, traffic was basically stopped too, and it's not like they could drive on the shoulder... must have taken them forever to get there.
Later I find out that the ambulances were going to a Ladue school bus that had slid off the road. Woah.

Ok, so I made a Quicktime 360 VR with The Panorama Factory, and it's all yucky. The compression is so ridiculous, and yet it's still 501k. I made a JPEG with four times the resolution that was only 116k. Ick. Ulead's IVR format seems a lot more promising. It just uses a JPEG! Wow, keep it simple. And then I found this tiny Java applet that will play back IVRs embedded in the page. That's tight. Check it out, now you can view the 360 and my text at the same time.
So for all you that have always wanted to see my room, here it is.
