So let's see, what did I do today... wrote a bunch of scholarship stuff for college, attempted to figure out how college financial aid works, and I went shopping. It's all about the 48-hour sale at Famous and Barr.

Wow, I figured it was time to watch Charlie's Angels. I didn't really expect all that much, but it turned out to be what I think is a really good movie. I mean, ok, it's not really that deep, but it has the good actors, like Tom Green. It also had a nice car! Natalie drove a nice red Ferrari 360 Modena. Of course, there was some good action and stuff too. And! The Handspring Visor! With the cool close-up, logo very blatant and all! There was also a Windows CE device, I want to say it's either a Casio or an HP. And they called it a "palm pilot," which is not accurate really. But anyways, I like this movie mostly because it holds a sort of a sentimental value for me... right Angels?

Wow. I was driving down US67 today, and a water main broke! This was at the intersection with Conway Road. So I got to drive through two feet of water, that was fun!
Ok, so Chris bought a new GeForce2 video card with 64MB of DDRAM, but he forgot he didn't have AGP on his motherboard. Well, he's already dumped all his money into this card, so he's not getting a new motherboard until he can pay for it, so he let me borrow it for a couple months! Wow! This thing is awesome. Sheesh, it runs at 400Mhz... that's faster than my CPU! That's hilarious, and it's amazing how video cards can conpensate for a slow processor with certain tasks. Well, ok, after some further testing, maybe I do need a new processor. There are just certain tasks that seem no faster with the blazing video card... ones that are dependent on the CPU.

We rented Thomas the Tank Engine to watch tonight, and I thought it was a good movie. I don't get why it got so bad reviews... owell, I've always liked Thomas the Tank Engine.

Ok, so today my auto mechanic opened shop again, and I had him screw the starter back into the car. Well, he told me, the starter was gone. Oops. It must have fallen off somewhere between my house and the mechanic! It's a good thing I just left it there over the weekend, or I would have gotten quite a surprise when I tried to start the car, and there was no starter. Brake pads were also worn out, got those replaced, and I also got an antifreeze leak checked on... apparantly it's coming from the cylinder heads. Seems like the heads need to be replaced soon. I think it's coming down to the point where I have to chose between rebuilding the engine and just throwing the thing away. :(
Hehe, guy in a rear-wheel-drive Jeep Cherokee got stuck in my street today. Owell, at least it had a locking differential, a little push was all he needed.

Oh my goodness, I found the official specs for the new Subaru Impreza in the U.K. off of the official website. Hmm, it appears all they have is the WRX 4 and 5 doors now, no 2-door. And they have this cheapo 1.6L 5-door version too. Wow, the ground clearance for the WRX is 6.1 inches, that's really good for a sports car. That's awesome. And it tows 2640 pounds too. Sheesh. Aww, they only gave the U.K. 218 bhp, as opposed to 227 here. That's just begging to be tuned up. Wow! 215 lb-ft of torque! And a top speed of 143 mph! Wow, check out the gear ratios! 4th and 5th are both overdrive! And it still 0-60s in 5.9 seconds. Sheesh, the 4th gear on the WRX is the same gear as 5th on our Outback Sport! And it's still 27.7 mpg. Sheesh! Too bad they get 4-pot/2-pot disc brakes, and we only get the 2-pot layout... again, that's crying to be modified. Yikes, it's £21995 in Britain, good thing it's only $25000 here.
Oh my goodness, the Japanese site has the STi. That wagon looks so tight! It has a locking centre differential and a 6-speed manual! Holy cow!

Oh man, I am eating so much junk this holiday season. Donuts, chocholate, more chocholate, fudge, cakes... Can't be very healthy. I'm probably going to gain 10 pounds over winter break.
