I've been reading this series of books by C.S. Lewis lately, and it's just fantastic. It's "Mere Christianity". He goes and steps back and views Christianity from a philosophical point of view. He reinforced a lot of the things and believe in and the reasons I believe them. The key is the reasons, because he does an excellent job of explaining it.


Friday, 23rd of June, 2000

I've started to get into hardcore techno. I burned a CD of some MODs, ITs, and XMs I downloaded, and am starting to listen to them in the car. Owell, so my music tastes now are summed up like this: I listen to techno, country, classical, and 3 pop groups.


Thursday, 22nd of June, 2000

The Olympus C-2020 came in, as well as the memory and stuff! This camera is really really really awesome. It came with rechargable lithium AA batteries and the recharger and everything.

I took home a Macintosh LC550 from school today, they were going to throw it away. They had about 4 they wanted to throw away, actually. Wow, this thing is not bad, it's got a 33Mhz 68030 and 1MB ROM. Wow, monitor is a Sony Trinitron 14", and runs on only 40 watts. Owell, gave it to my brother, I think he'll fool with it. It's got an ethernet card, so you can surf the web and all that good stuff. Wow, this thing wasn't sold in stores! This might become a collector's item. It was sold only through educational channels. It cost $1200, introduced on February 2, 1994. Woah, that was cheap for a computer!


Wednesday, 21st of June, 2000

Handspring had their IPO today. They went from the $17 initial offering to $165 today, but back down to $28 by the end of the day. Wow. They raised 3.6 billion dollars or something.

I sat and churned out webpages all day. This morning, I did some pages @ school, spit out some pages for WebWorkShops in the afternoon, and started on some Road Scholars pages in the afternoon.


Tuesday, 20th of June, 2000

Well, we ordered the Olympus C-2020, and I also got a 32MB SmartMedia and a USB adapter. Serial port is much too slow for this kind of stuff.


Monday, 19th of June, 2000

I went for a tour, information session, and an interview at Washington University today. Wow, I'm getting kinda excited about college now, I mean, I've seen lots of Wash U already, I took a class there last fall, but now I get to see things like dorms, student life, etc.


Sunday, 18th of June, 2000

Dad wants to get a digital camera. Wow, the Nikon Coolpix 800 is only $395. It's 2 Megapixel, and uses CompactFlash. Darn, the optical zoom is 2X. That is totally unacceptable. Rats. Step up would be the Olympus C-2020. It's got 3X. Owell, I guess it's worth it, I think battery consumption is much more efficient, and it's got an adapter that lets you install more lenses on it.
