I have an excuse to get a laptop now. I picked up a souvenir from work, a laptop backpack. Really cool, says www.ajkids.com on it, and it has lots of pockets and compartments for accessories and stuff. Maybe I'll look for a decent one on eBay or something, cause I sure don't have a real use for a laptop.

After the strolling performance (how did that happen? In the middle of the summer?), Peyton decided to try to demonstrate a J-turn in his 1996 Ford Explorer. Problem was, he couldn't get it to work. He decides to shift it into neutral when negioating the turn so he "won't mess up the transmission". Ok, whatever, it sucks, either that, or the car just won't do it. Owell, I haven't done one in a while, and I did a few decent ones, and Louis decided to ride with me a few times and get the thrill. I got one down pretty well before I left the parking lot.
After that, we went to Steak and Shake and sat for a while discussing computers, the internet, and our PDAs. (We all ran Palm OS). We were a bunch of dorks, sitting in Steak and Shake, with our Strolling tuxedos on, and our Palms out, playing with stuff. Then we saw this group of 10 teenager girls walked in, and the other two guys I were with REALLY wish they weren't so nerdy @ the moment. I resisted the temptation to shout "Nerd power!"
We also found out the flourescent lights affect IR transmission! Like, we found we couldn't beam each other anything due to the strong flourescent light above us @ the table @ Steak and Shake. Owell, interesting.

Oh man, there is this awesome series of shockwave movies on shockwave.com, called Radiskull. It's so hilarious.

British Telecom is trying to get royalties for an American patent here on "hyperlink technology", dating back to 1976. BT is really just trying to embarass themselves by doing this, what the heck are they thinking? They weren't even the first ones to come up with it, Ted Nelson talked about it in the earlier 70s, and even he says that he heard of it from somebody before that. That's ridiculous.

I decided to record Novacek's Perpetual Motion, I hadn't played it in about 2 weeks, and it's amazing how much one can lose in that period of time. Owell, I managed to work it up to somewhat of a recordable quality and recorded it.

I finally got Win2000 to install! The problem had something to do with RAM I think, as I had my DIMM sitting on the 2nd slot, rather than the first. Weird. Well, this thing is pretty tight, dang I love NT a lot more than stupid Win98.
