Today is the big All-Suburban day. It was cool, we were even able to get out a little early. Everything went pretty well. There were some teachers that were upset at Ms. Fleming for not being there all day, though, I hope everything gets worked out. And we represented really well this year too, orchestra and audience. I was concertmaster, Andrea was principal 2nd violin, and we've got Rebecca on 3rd chair 2nd violin and Yun Xiang on 4th chair viola, and Kevin kept all those 2nd back there in line at 7th stand. And there were 4 orchestra members from our school that came to watch, and even Dr. Powers the principal came. Awesome. The concert is videotaped, I'll watch it tomorrow or something and grab frames off of it and post them.

Tonight was the beginning of the big All-Suburban orchestra weekend, we had a 5-9 rehearsal, and it went pretty well. Wow, I'm sooo tired. I went to bed late all week, and never sleep-recovered from the trip last weekend. I hope to sleep more on this long weekend.

Wow, I found an awesome internet calendar and scheduling software! WebEvent is used by so many big names, like Harvard, CWRU, Yale, Boeing, Apple, Lucent, Cisco... I think we're going to get it for school, we need something like this. It's all perl based, open-source, I love it. I'll have to set this thing up.

I got my windshield replaced on my car. If I had realized the chips in windshields were repairable, I would have had it repaired from day one. Now I have to get the entire thing replaced. That sucks. Owell, one learns.
Youth Symphony had a neat rehearsal tonight, we rehearsed side-by-side with the St. Louis Symphony. It was cool, cause the person I was paired up with lives in Ladue. Wow. I told her I went to Ladue, and the first question she asked was "Are you in....", and I expected to give a "yes" nod to answer if I was in Orchestra or not. Instead, she finished it with "...Strolling Strings?" I was just about to fall over. Turns out, Andrea babysits her kids. Wow. What a small world! And she knew Beth too. And the person sitting on my other side was Chinese, and she spoke Mandarin. So we spoke Mandarin a bit, it was quite fun.

Oh man. That last strolling trip was so awesome, I had such a great time! Now I'm going through this depression after-trip stage, as I have to deal with all these things at home again, like taxes...

I got home, called up Handspring. LCDs cost about $3 to replace, but I can't find the part I need. Handspring said they will ship me a new one for $85 and if I ship them the old one, and they'll repair it and sell it as a reconditioned product. Cool! They'll FedEx me a new one. That's pretty cool. I love you Handspring!
So I get home, and my computer has fallen apart. Like, some of the screws were all screwed up, no pun intended. And like most of the motherboard risers were worn out. I had to take everything out and screw it back in again. I got burned and all cut up on both of my hands. That was very fun!
Well, I got strolling pictures all optimized and ready to go, the digital camera helps a lot.
